Boz Scaggs!!

http://www.bozscaggs.com

No pictures tonight. I kept my camera in my pocket. There were three buses on the street. One truckload of equipment backed into the downtown Durham facility. My seats were about ten rows back.
I really enjoyed this show. I really wanted to capture a few frames to share but the camera nazis were everywhere. I let it go. The band was great and Boz was rocking. I never tire of his music and I own everything from the bootlegs to the most recent release. This cd is VERY good. Go buy it and listen. The man is a talent. 'Nuff said.

Go watch this:

Awesome stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1w8tzJ-qEk

Candle lit, and my eyes are slits
Jumpin' now, paper clip
Make a move, sail a ship
Tap it in, tap it in, ruby lips

She's a mixed up, shook up girl
Got me so strung out
I don't know what to do
She's a mixed up, mixed up, shook up girl

Take a breath, in the night
Hurry over, she said
But there was no one in sight
Now break away, is in her eyes
You know that little girl, she cut me deep
Inside out

She's a mixed up, shook up girl
Got me so strung out
I don't know what to do
She's a mixed up, mixed up, shook up girl

Hey, you, I remember
All the empty streets
Fill me now
And though you're gone away
I know not forever
Why don't you just come over here and tell me, baby
Is it over now?

She's a mixed up,shook up girl
Got me so strung out
I don't know what to do
She's a mixed up, mixed up, shook up girl
She's a mixed up, shook up girl
She's a mixed up, shook up girl
And she got me so strung out...
She's a mixed up, shook up girl...

And she got me so strung out...

She's a mixed up, shook up girl...

BB King at the Durham Performing Arts Center!!

Let's see where do I start? I have stomped the ground BB King played in Greenwood, Mississippi for a long time. Born in 1925, BB is still on stage playing a list of dates that would make young man weary. I had not seen him in a while and I figured I better go see him before he slows down touring! All said it was a great night sitting close to one of the Rolling Stone rated top ten guitarists of all time. His band is great and it truly is a blues show when BB strolls out as his band builds the tempo.

I need to mention we did see a guy on the front row pop the question with a ring during a song break. BB smiled and proceeded to do a song for the young couple. He even threw them a rose from the stage. I think that was the first time I had ever seen that happen at a concert...

Well there is always another show on the horizon. I am hoping next time I can bring a few pictures of my own back. Rule 2, It is what it is. Camera nazis, gotta' love 'em...

Until Next time I'll see you, Down the Road...

"Riding with the King" John Hiatt

I stepped out of Mississippi when I was ten years old
With a suit cut sharp as a razor and a heart made of gold
I had a guitar hanging just about waist high
And I'm gonna play this thing until the day I die

Don't you know we're ridin' with King
