Here is my pal Cathy Ponton King during a sound check in D.C. This is the State Theatre..a very cool place that has Albita Purple Haze on tap...a very cool beer. Cathy is great and has a SUPER band. Some of these guys have played with some of Rock & Roll's greats...you should hear the stories of Jimmy Hendrix and Neils Lofgren...on and on...the Green Room was full of cool stories...on this night Cathy was opening for Johnny Winter. She has a great cd (Jimmy Thackery on guitar) and is working on a new one right now. Bob Margolin introduced her to her husband! Cool story eh? And my pal Tom Ponton, a dj (and writer for the cobo.org & the Washington Post) who plays some great shows on radiomargaritaville is her brother.
